The StonkFun launchpad

The StonkFun launchpad offers two launch modes. A fee coin trades on a 1% pool split 50/50 with the platform, or an optional 2% pool where the creator earns 1.5%. A reward coin trades on a 1% pool and carries a transfer tax of 1% or 3%, fixed permanently at launch, which is paid to holders in the quote token instead of to the creator.

Optional launch features

Airdrop to the quote token's holders

Available on a reward launch. Up to 50% of supply can be held back and dropped on the holders of the token being paired against, in tiers from top100 to top5000, with top100 as the default. The recipient list is snapshotted and frozen by the prepare call, before the new mint exists, so nobody can see the token and buy the quote asset to get into the drop. Exchange, custody and treasury wallets are removed, as is any account owned by a program, and removals are backfilled by the next holder down.

StonkFun notes one trade off plainly: holding back supply seeds the pool with less base token, so the pool is thinner and a given buy moves the price further. The starting market cap is unchanged.

Dev buy

A creator can buy up to 50% of supply as the pool's first trade, expressed either as a supply share or as a SOL amount, never both. The cost rides in the same payment transaction as the launch fee, and the buy is submitted in the same atomic bundle as the transaction that makes the pool tradeable, so it cannot be front run.

Claiming creator fees

On a fee coin, accumulated fees are claimed by the creator from the token page on StonkFun, or over the public API. Reward coins have no creator fee position to claim, because the transfer tax pays holders instead.

Frequently asked questions

What does it cost to launch on StonkFun?

The launch cost is quoted live on the StonkFun launch form and in the prepare call of the public API, which returns the exact lamports before anything is signed. The creator pays it from their own wallet.

Can the transfer tax on a reward coin be changed later?

No. StonkFun documents the 1% or 3% transfer tax as set permanently at launch.

Does StonkFun hold my private key when launching?

No. StonkFun's developer documentation states the flow is non custodial throughout: it never asks for, accepts or stores a private key, and no endpoint signs on your behalf.
