How StonkFun rewards work
A StonkFun reward token pays its holders pro rata in the quote token the launch is paired against. Newer v3 launches fund those payouts from a transfer tax on every transfer, set permanently at launch at 1% or 3%. Earlier launches fund them from 85% of their 4% pool's trading fees. Fees collect until the pot is worth distributing, then the pot is split across holders.
Where the reward pot comes from
| Launch generation | Funding source | Paid in |
|---|---|---|
| Newer (v3) | Transfer tax of 1% or 3% on every transfer, on any venue | The quote token |
| Earlier | 85% of the 4% pool's trading fees | The quote token |
Payouts are pro rata across holders. StonkFun displays reward values at the token's current price rather than the price at the moment each payout landed, so the displayed figure moves with the market.
Rewards are not the same as the flywheel
Rewards pay individual holders of a specific reward token. The flywheel is separate: a share of trading fees from every v3 pool buys back and burns the platform's top 15 tokens by market cap, weighted by market cap, every few minutes. Platform revenue is separate again, with approximately 60% used to buy and burn $STONK.
What StonkGuy does with its own rewards
StonkGuy is an independent, unofficial project. It is not operated by StonkFun, not a StonkFun product, and not endorsed by StonkFun. StonkGuy reads public StonkFun data and public Solana data, and builds tools on top of it.
$STONKGUY was launched on StonkFun paired with $STONK, so its creator fee arrives in $STONK. StonkGuy runs its own Hold to Earn programme with that fee: a snapshot reads $STONKGUY balances from the chain and eligible wallets are paid in $STONK, with no deposit, no lock and nothing to claim. This programme is operated by StonkGuy, not by StonkFun.
Frequently asked questions
In what token are StonkFun rewards paid?
In the quote token the launch is paired against, pro rata across holders.
Do all StonkFun tokens pay rewards?
No. Only reward tokens do. A fee coin pays its creator from the pool fee instead, and has no transfer tax.
How often are StonkFun rewards distributed?
StonkFun states that reward tokens collect fees until the pot is worth paying out, then split it across holders, so the cadence follows the fees a token actually produces.
Is StonkGuy Hold to Earn the same as StonkFun rewards?
No. Hold to Earn is run independently by StonkGuy using the creator fee earned by its own token, which arrives in $STONK because $STONKGUY is paired with $STONK.
